Pictures from an afternoon in Munich.
Not a walk this time, more of a leisurely stroll – combined with lots of refreshment stops along the way. Numerous shade-seeking excuses were used to park ourselves in biergartens, so we could sit and enjoy a little of what Munich’s famous for. Grateful for the coolness provided by the giant Chesnut trees, planted for that very purpose hundreds of years ago.
The food on the Market stalls gives subtle hints as to the approaching change in seasons – not welcomed I guess by those determined to make the most of the summer, and what’s left of it.
A special day spent with family, full of laughter and messages from friends and loved ones further afield. I always love this time of year wherever we are. Birthdays are my favourite.
