Much to the jealousy of many English friends, here in Bavaria we have been back at school for almost a week (not that the locals have, they still have a few weeks to go lucky things!)…
Organisation is not a strength of mine, but thankfully we had no uniforms to update, just a list of school essentials as long as your arm to coordinate, some of which I still need to track down!
Getting used to those early morning starts again has to be the worst part, but with each day (and a routine that seems to be returning bit by bit) it becomes slightly less painful.
Both children seem happy to be back, and content with new classes and teachers thankfully (well as happy as Small Boy will ever be when it comes to the learning side of things!), and as much as I miss them, it means that I get to put my feet up (I can hope can’t I?) for these last few weeks of ginorma-bumpdom. 6 weeks and counting!
And whilst I imagine you are knee deep in name labels and dreaded school shoe shopping in anticipation of your own school returns, I will leave you with a Back to School recipe of mine that’s featured over on Wayfair this morning – Granola topped Blueberry, Apple, Banana & Maple Syrup Breakfast Muffins. So easy to make, and perfect for those hectic mornings when you are struggling to get everyone out of the door.
*featured post written in collaboration with Wayfair who kindly asked me to be featured, and sent me props from their fabulous site to use for the post.
