Whilst the whole of Munich is flooded with visitors here to experience something that the city is perhaps most famous for, last week I noticed that another fleeting visitor to these parts had most definitely arrived…
There had been hints that she was here, I just hadn’t caught a real glimpse until I had reason for a quiet wander around the Viktualienmarkt…
And there she was. Who knows how long Autumn will be staying? I just hope she’s in a good mood and treats us to a long, mild and colourful season before the next guest arrives (makes mental note to book car in to get the Winter tyres put on very soon)…

Apart from the colds and the shorter days, I really do love the autumn – the colour, and look at all those mushrooms!!! Hope you had a good beer fest – I am, of course, assuming you went. X

Lovely photos. It’s gone from being a strange 25 degrees last week to really autumnal this week. I love autumn though so I’m welcoming the changes.

Same here last week… So odd isn’t it? I am welcoming these changes, when it gets colder still I might mourn them though! :D x

Autumn is my absolute favourite season – 100 pumpkins above the rest! I’ve started to notice the things that you’ve photographed too here in Munich, and I’m so excited to experience my first Bavarian Autumn… Oktoberfest and all!
I’ve not had a chance to go to the Viktualienmarkt yet, but it’s definitely next on my list of things to do.
As always, love reading your posts, and learning more about Bavaria with every one!
Schoenen Tag! Lou x

That market looks blooming brilliant. I love nothing more than to wander around a colourful market and these pictures are making me want to escape for a morning’s browsing even more. Beautiful colours. I do love autumn. x

We still seem to be hanging onto summer here with temperatures of 19 and 20 degrees but there are hints autumn is on the way out as the plums on the tree are finished, the raspberries are nearly done and the eating apples are about to fall. But I still needed sun cream on my face when I sat out to read the papers today!

So so very jealous! Enjoy! I saw a weather thing today that said we are all in for a horrendous winter!!! :/

Early autumn is my favourite, love pumpkin soup and golden fields and hedgerows stuffed with the fruits of summer.

Thank you… it’s a fabulous place to have a wander. As much as I moan about the supermarkets here, the seasonal produce you can get at the food markets is amazing… :)

I am so not a fan of Autumn, I miss summer too much. But I love these and I do love the seasonal fruit and veg. Those mushrooms look intriguing. As always I love your photos.
