This blog is written by Emma, who left the UK for Copenhagen in 2009 with her ever patient husband and (then) two small children. *\u00a0 <\/em><\/h4>\n

Having enjoyed a couple of years of the Scandi lifestyle<\/a> (and at times extreme weather conditions),\u00a0 Emma and her family found they enjoyed Expat life so much that they moved on to Munich for a “little while”.\u00a0 Here they enjoyed mangling yet another language, immersing themselves in traditional Bavarian culture (and of course the bier halls!), and enjoying some of the most magnificent scenery in Europe right on their doorstep. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Almost six years later work dictated that the family should move back home to England for a while, which they did.\u00a0 \u00a0Thanks to a bit of reverse culture shock (quite the understatement!) they are currently treating this move as another expat assignment as it all still feels a bit weird even some three years later.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma and her family have always loved travelling, and love to explore each new country they live in. \u00a0For the first time in almost years, they look forward to being able to explore their own country more extensively.\u00a0 \u00a0For a while at least!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma has a huge passion for photography, travel (obviously) art, wine, gardening (although she’s not much good at that) and her family of course! **<\/em><\/p>\n

*** \u00a0She is now a mother of three children. \u00a0Do feel free to ask her how she coped on a foreign labour ward where gas and air is not available at all<\/em>.<\/p>\n

**** I suggest you don’t ask her about her first article in print for the fabulous Simple Things Magazine<\/strong> (Munich – “My City” in case you’re interested!) as she hasn’t stopped going on about it…\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

(I also frequently wrote for BritMums<\/a> for several years, compiling the monthly food<\/a>\u00a0and Expat round ups, and providing further articles on travel topics. \u00a0 \u00a0 I also had the pleasure of speaking several times at BritMums Live on Food and Travel panels).<\/p>\n
