Our summer holidays have officially begun.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Having only started school here in November, it seems to have come around awfully quickly, and I will admit to being slightly leaky eyed over the last few days at the thought of my two already bidding a fond farewell to two amazing teachers, and graduating up to the next level.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I am also pleased to report that the “Gingerbread Man<\/a>” didn’t have any costume dramas on her big day, and all went well. \u00a0 Thought you might like a sneaky peak at her outfit!\u00a0 This photograph will be going in my “payback pile” for her teenage years.<\/p>\n

And now the summer holidays stretch and stretch for miles ahead, full of days of relaxation and children that play so nicely together all of the time (who am I kidding?)…<\/p>\n

In other educational news, I have completed the teaching of three English lessons.\u00a0 My young charges are (currently) very sweet and polite, and have the\u00a0 most incredibly neat handwriting ever!<\/p>\n

It’s been really interesting as a language student myself, to be on the other side of the fence.\u00a0\u00a0 You can really sense when they know the answer to something but they just don’t have the confidence to say it.\u00a0\u00a0 I have been working on confidence building, and yesterday the shyest member of the group even looked like he was beginning to enjoy himself, which was lovely.<\/p>\n

I will admit to being surprised at how well-behaved they are, and commented on this to their mothers.\u00a0\u00a0 “That’s because we told them that you were like that nanny woman on the television” said one of them.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 “Mary Poppins? ”\u00a0 I asked… “No, Super Nanny!”… Not exactly the answer I had been hoping for, but still, if it did the trick!<\/p>\n

\"pencils<\/a>If any of my lovely EFL teaching friends (or friends that I haven’t met yet!!), can recommend any material, I would be more than grateful!<\/p>\n
