Our home for the bank holiday last weekend – a guest house<\/a> on a working dairy farm not far over the border into Austria – a working dairy farm complete with acres of free range fun for the Small People (plus our lovely super-fit hiking friends – more on them later!).<\/p>\n

As you might expect for such an environment there were masses of animals for the Small Boy to communicate with, including beautiful bovines – girls who were up with the larks each morning for milking.<\/p>\n

Add to that an army of cats in all shapes and sizes, who mostly kept themselves to themselves. \u00a0 \u00a0One exception to this was Brutus (christened by Small Girl), the hugest Ginger Tom mix, who seemed to enjoy our company – as long as it was very much on his terms.<\/p>\n
