It was Parent’s Evening recently (except that it was actually during the day, and they call it something far more involved instead!)!\u00a0\u00a0 Thankfully both of The Small People sound like they are thriving in their new environment, and the Seven Year Old has more than caught up after the\u00a0 slow and (at times)\u00a0 painful start to her school life in our previous location!<\/p>\n

Of course I sat straight-faced and serious as they both proudly showed me their work, but it at times it was a bit of a struggle keeping my composure…<\/p>\n

It is amazing the things you can find out at these things though!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Like below for example, taken from a project called “Snakes” by the Five Year Old…\u00a0 (apologies for the poor quality of the pics, they were taken with a camera phone and a very wobbly hand from surpressed giggling!)…<\/p>\n

Oh really?\u00a0 I actually hope not…<\/p>\n

Yes.\u00a0\u00a0 Books are very important to snakes.\u00a0 It is imperative that each snake household owns at least one copy of\u00a0 “How to Swallow an Egg Whole” and “Skin Shedding For Dummies”…<\/p>\n

Well, at least it wasn’t like his last “Parent’s Evening” at his pre-school in Copenhagen, when I was greeted by this beautiful portrait of me that was given pride of place on a display wall outside the classroom!…<\/p>\n

A hectic week with my lovely Mum here!\u00a0 She’s not one for sitting still and relaxing bless her, and we have been out investigating all sorts this week.\u00a0\u00a0 Will report back very soon!<\/p>\n
