Travelling with babies can usually guarantee one thing – super early starts… \u00a0 \u00a0 So when you are sitting there bleary eyed at the crack of dawn, wandering what on earth you could do at that time of day (apart from go back to bed of course!) – there’s nothing for it but to turf the rest of the family out of bed too and head straight to the beach for breakfast…<\/p>\n

When we lived by the sea in Denmark, beach breakfasts were a huge family tradition in the summer holidays. \u00a0We would pack up a picnic (usually along with a flask of tea – we are Brits after all), a blanket and sun umbrella and head to the coast to enjoy the peace of an empty beach before the sun got too high in the sky and the crowds started to arrive. \u00a0 \u00a0 My older two still talk about it now so were more than happy when I suggested a Croatian beach breakfast that first morning…<\/p>\n
