The soundtrack to today has been mini-avalanches of snow sliding off the roof.\u00a0 It’s amazing how loud it is, and it’s also amazing how relentless winter has been here this week.\u00a0 Lots of sliding about in cars, and not many signs of Spring just yet!<\/span><\/p>\n

A few pictures from another kind of sliding at beautiful Schloss Nymphenburg a few days ago!\u00a0 The lakes and canals are all frozen at the moment, and hundreds of people were making the most of the opportunity to get their skates on, or indulge in a spot of Eisstockschie\u00dfen<\/a>!\u00a0 Everyone was having fun, and the crowds of people on the ice reminded me of the pictures of medieval frost fairs in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We had left our skates at home unfortunately, but that didn’t stop us from some old school sliding fun (thanks to a little bit of help from Daddy and Uncle G!)…\u00a0 Unfortunately we had one minor bashed head casualty thanks to some over-enthusiastic independent sliding on the part of one little girl,\u00a0 but nothing that serious that a big hot chocolate didn’t sort out when we got home!<\/p>\n
