A week in and we still have a few boxes to go.
It’s a huge novelty owning a house again after such a long time. I don’t think we will get tired of looking at something and thinking “I hate that, that’s going” instead of having to live with it – something fellow expats will appreciate (especially after the previous owners left us with a hideous and varied selection of blue walls, sheds and glass!)!…
Our first week has been full of painting, putting up lights, wondering why we have so much rubbish AND friends and family bearing lovely gifts and flowers. Being able to easily spend time with people that make it worthwhile being back has meant that for the first time since we arrived back in the UK it finally feels like we are home…
