Wurst always reminds me of voosht at home when I was a child. We used it for salami type cold cuts. Of course the word came from wurst but we called it voosht. Voosht omelet was a regular Sunday lunch (Sunday being a leftover day after the more festive Saturday). Voosht sandwiches on Monday for school. By Tuesday it was all gone until the next weekend.
Brilliant! I find the origin of words fascinating! We have a lot of Danish words in the English language that we adopted (and pronounce differently!) :)
Thank you! Incredibly busy, I couldn’t believe it – especially at that time of night! Silent Sunday is being hosted over at its owner’s again (Mocha Beanie Mummy), and LAB has started a new Social Pix Linky… Team Lloyd also has a brand new Photo of the Week Link too! :) x
This has got to be the best invention ever! Love the umbrella on his back! Hope they were yummy hotdogs! Thanks so much for linking up with Photo of The Week Emma xx
Brilliant he looks like he’s stepped out Charley and The Chocolate Factory or some other such film. I know the dad out of Chitty Chiity Bang Bang, he’s always inventing things.
