A ski trip with a four month old baby might not seem like the most relaxing break in the world, and I will be the first to admit that it’s probably not – but I promise you it’s worth it…
OK, so (unlike the rest of my tribe) the baby and I might not have got that much done in the way of skiing this past week, but with a decent sling, a sturdy pair of snow boots and ignoring the fact that I was mostly half strangulated with a camera strap (whilst the baby chewed the other end of it!) on our scenery appreciation missions, we have well and truly made the most of being in the mountains. Kitzbuhel is gorgeous…
And look at the view from the top….
Not that somebody else was that impressed on our first visit up there! I will always remember baby’s first mountain, even if he doesn’t!
More to follow when I am back next week…

Aww I really loved this post! Such a gorgeous end pic of baby! Stunning views. I’ve actually never been anywhere like this, or been skiing, but I’d love to experience seeing this first hand x

For the first time ever I can appreciate a good snowy mountain photo and consider the skiing opportunities! I may be turning into a ski bum after all ;-)
Emma says
You need to come here before we leave so you can experience my style of skiing! :D x
Kara says
Wow, you are very brave – not sure I would want to take a small baby up a mountain – the pictures are so worth it though
Emma says
Thanks Kara! It wasn’t too much of a hardship! :D
Liz Burton says
Oh wow I bet he slept like a log with all that beautiful fresh mountain air!
I hope he was awake at least a little bit to enjoy the views!
Emma says
He did have a bit of a look around, not sure anything made much sense to him though, and yes he definitely slept like a log! Thanks Liz :)

Gorgeous photos Emma, such stunning views. My sister took her 4 month old on a ski trip after Christmas – don’t think she had any plans to ski, which was just as well, seeing as there was no snow! x
Emma says
Oh no, how sad they didn’t get any snow. Austria’s the place to go at the moment – stacks of the stuff! Thanks T xx

All that mountain air would have been phenomenally good for baby, even if she won’t remember it! She’ll have the pictures to look back on, at least.
Emma says
Thanks Nell! (:

We went to Kitzbuhel many years ago for a two week holiday in September. We had a wonderful time riding up and down the cable cars. We couldn’t believe how warm it was then and couldn’t imagine it covered in snow.
Emma says
A Gorgeous place isn’t it? Thanks Ness! (:
