It was Mardis Gras on Tuesday. Can understand why some people find them frightening… Now to me, the large man wearing very little apart from an Angela Merkel mask was scary (but funny!)… :D

Oh my goodness. Is that one of Mother Venting’s escaped unicorns?! Great shot, although for me they are slightly unnerving.
Quite possibly :D I think in this setting they were fine. Had I seen them on their own on the way home at some ungodly hour though, they would have frightened the bejeesus out of me! :D

Rosenmontag? We went to Cologne when carnival was just starting the other year & it seemed such a strange concept to us. Guessing its lots of fun too when it really gets going.
Faschingdienstag is the big day here… I don’t know that they actually do anything for rosenmontag in these parts! Was great fun to witness though, next year I am dressing up! :D
