What a great angle -ou are so good at catching these shots! We had temps as low as -11 last week, ice everywhere, and I feel like we’re having a heat wave now that it’s ‘just’ zero!
Thank you… We too are having a mini heatwave, the snow (apart from the huge piles left at the side of the roads) has all but gone, but no doubt it will be back soon enough! :)
Icicles are so beautiful aren’t they. I used to break them off and suck them like ice lollies as a child. I didn’t think much to the flavour though :-)
They are impressive icicles! We had -6 ourselves in Farnborough on Tuesday and we had some pretty cool icicles and I kept regretting not having my camera with me, though I think these are way more impressive!
-6 brrr… In my experience, there isn’t much difference in the actually feel of the temperature whether it’s -6 or minus -20! :) I do that too, see something and wish I had my camera with me! Next time! :)
Reminds me of a poem we had to learn in school: When icicles hang by the wall, and dick the shepherd blows his nail, de da de da de da, etc… (well it was a long time ago).
Beautiful…..but brrr….. Is it always this cold in winter there? At least it’s sunny though. Cold and crisp is good. The sky is such a fabulous shade of blue.
Thanks Mary, I am not sure about it being this cold, but there is usually snow at some point yes… And well prepared they are for it too, the snow shovels and salt start appearing at the end of September! We have had a mini heat wave though in the past couple of days, we reached the heady heights of 4 degrees yesterday which means that a lot of the icicles have gone. I am sure they will be back again soon enough, and the snow hasn’t gone anywhere!!
Thank you Kate… We seen to end up in the land of icicles – our last home in Denmark was actually prone to huge icicles, and there were quite often warnings about them in case one fell off and did you some damage! :D
Thanks Erica… I had to do a double take to see if they were real or not, but they were real, and the markets were covered in them that day, it was sooo cold! :D

Wow, I took a pic like that two years ago ;-)
When the UK got snowed in for days? I remember my Mum sleeping on the floor of Heathrow to come and visit us in Denmark! :D
Beautiful! X.

Now that is a good idea! :D

Beautiful! Am wondering if we will get any here.
Early days yet… I expect you might have before winter’s out! :D
Incredible icicles! Looks beautiful, crisp and oh so ch-ch-chilly! Glad temperature has crept up, but suppose that makes more snow more likely?
Thank you… Yes, incredibly chilly! More snow forecast towards the end of the week! :D
Fab shot. Makes me feel cold :)
Thank you Kirsty! :)
Beautiful, a picture says a thousand words and you have captured them all
Thank you Mari! :) xx
Wow, makes frozen spider webs look very minor!
Thank you! I think they are just as beautiful! :D

They are impressive icicles! We had -6 ourselves in Farnborough on Tuesday and we had some pretty cool icicles and I kept regretting not having my camera with me, though I think these are way more impressive!
I much prefer cold crisp days to wet days though!

Reminds me of a poem we had to learn in school: When icicles hang by the wall, and dick the shepherd blows his nail, de da de da de da, etc… (well it was a long time ago).
I have never heard of that! Yep, would hate to be a shepherd when there are lots of icicles about though! :D
Ooh shivery, but beautiful!
Thank you! :)

Very impressive I icicles, another fabulous shot x
Thank you! Glad you like it! :) x
I love icicles, but I so rarely see them. They belong in the land of Christmas and fairy tales
Thank you Kate… We seen to end up in the land of icicles – our last home in Denmark was actually prone to huge icicles, and there were quite often warnings about them in case one fell off and did you some damage! :D
Makes me feel cold just looking at them. Quite spectacular icicles.
Thanks Erica… I had to do a double take to see if they were real or not, but they were real, and the markets were covered in them that day, it was sooo cold! :D
