Well done – good photo darling. Don’t worry about the persion next to you, from your response to this picture and the wonderful view I bet they were wishing they had taken one! x
ohh what a lovely shot :) I so want to go to London, surprisingly I have never been… or maybe only once when i was really young, hopefully this summer I will go the kids are old enough now to appreciate the sights too :) x
Fab photo! Whenever I see photos of London it makes me feel all nostalgic. even though Im only an hour up the road photos of london remind me of my childhood. Great Photo, I love it! Enjoy your few days in the UK x
That’s brilliant, I love it when you get lucky like that. Hubby flew over our village once on the way to Copenhagen from Birmingham. It’s really exciting to see stuff you know.
I absolutely LOVE flying into London from Frankfurt; we do exactly the same as that, fly really low the whole length of the London bit of the Thames, it’s just brilliant – and why I always make sure I’m sat on the right hand side of the plane. Oh god, now I say that out loud it sounds totally embarrassing.
Actually, now I think about it I never get to see it quite from that angle unless there’s been going round in circles which includes being able to see the Olympic bit really well. Oh no… now I sound like some mad airplane geek. I’m not, I promise, it’s just it’s the only bit of the journey where I get to concentrate on something other than whether a wing’s about to fall off.
Of course it’s the Thames – I recognise it from East Endres ;). That’s very low to be flying over London 0r did you use a strong zoom? I usually fly in and out via Heathrow or Luton (and have done Gatwick many times) but I’ve never had that view – it’s amazingly clear.

You are so funny :D But not alone in having to get a window seat or concentrating on everything but all the strange noises and wing bendiness! :)

It reminded me of Eastenders as well :D We weren’t far off from landing and the view was pretty amazing, a pretty special welcome home! :)

Now you say that I realise should have recognised tower bridge.
bavaria says
I think it’s London, judging by where the Shard is and the Gherkin is over the road, but could well be wrong! :)
Erica Price says
Is that a view of Munich? Looks spectacular.
bavaria says
No, it’s London, taken from the plane on my way home for a couple of days! :)
