Anyone else feel like they are slowly drowning in things to remember, places to be, and what your offspring absolutely need to have with them at this time of year? I am sure it’s not just me?
I always seem to struggle in these last few countdown weeks to the summer holidays and inevitably forget something important. Travel and Cultural visits seem so very far away right now, even if in reality they are just around the corner.
We have been enjoying a little of our own cultural heritage recently though, introducing the Three and a half-year-old to his first English Summer Fete last weekend (in the pouring rain). He was last man standing (or rather sitting) for Punch and Judy which he was enthralled by (and did quite a bit of heckling at!).
We all enjoyed our recent visit to the Mary Rose Museum, it’s changed so much since our last visit. And, as the English (and Welsh) Countryside is just so very beautiful at this time of year (probably thanks to all that rain!) we have made sure to get out in it as much as possible.
I still have Snowdonia posts to write up too, and I thought we were moving back to England for a “nice quiet life”….
Do let us have your posts old or new – as long as they contain something to do with culture, art, heritage, film, dance, museums, or other kinds of galleries/exhibitions, we like to make them feel welcome!
The favourite posts of the last roundup were Mail Rail by Museum Mum, Roman Blue Walls by Kids of the Wild, Peter Pan by Scots to Travel, and Star Gazing by Coin Des Bobby
