I have featured these statues from time to time in my blog over the years. Dotted around Munich’s Viktualienmarkt they usually depict locally characters associated with the market and Munich generally. This is Karl Valentin, a Bavarian Comedian, performer, author and film producer and was often called the Charlie Chaplin of Germany… I love how people give the statues flowers and decorate them seasonally…
I love this. I’d love to see him decked out in seasonal gifts throughout the year.
