It always made me laugh that people assume lederhosen are historical costumes when you actually see them in the street every day of the week in the south. I’m feeling all nostalgic now so thanks for the memories.
What a distinctive shop sign! My mother-in-law tried to pass some toddler lederhosen onto us but I thought it was a bit impractical. I’d love a fabulous dirndl skirt though :-)
Hmmm… The very fact that you can’t wash them does make them slightly impractical toddler wear, might have been good to take a pic for future blackmail purposes though! Thanks Ruth! :)
A dirndl is the traditional dress for the women of Bavaria, and for those trying to blend in at certain events… I might post a pic of mine soon enough, but perhaps not with me in it!! (:
Indeed! Not yet, just liked the sign (in Salzburg)… I need to actually get some for the boy soon though. Husband is not allowed them, although I think he would quite like some :D…

A shop sign – for leather pants… well, trousers kind of anyway! :)
Cool. Reminds me of Bierfest- what I can remember of it anyhow.
Thank you! You didn’t experience the real thing if you can remember anything!! (:
How unusual. Is it a shop sign. Is looks like something out of an RPG.

I imagine you might find them in there as well, but it mostly sells traditional dress for the area… :)
Love it! Is it a shop selling lederhosen or just some sort of random thing.
It’s a shop selling lederhosen, and the most beautiful dirndl’s… :)
