Happy New Year (albeit a slightly belated one) from a cold and grey Winchester…. It can still be beautiful in the gloomiest of conditions, however as the above photograph taken from St Giles Hill hopefully demonstrates.
Well that was a funny old year wasn’t it (just without the humour!!)?… I didn’t feel that inclined to write here much throughout as typically this is a space I use to share our travels and explorations, and for obvious reasons, we didn’t do much of either.
It’s a good job we really like the house we bought back in the UK as we’ve been doing a lot of staring at its four walls these past twelve months in between homeschooling, gardening and doing a ridiculous amount of baking (we’ve been doing a lot of alterations and adjustments to the house and garden whilst we had a little more time on our hands!)… We are incredibly lucky compared to a lot of people in that we also have a reasonable amount of outdoor space too so it wasn’t really a hardship a lot of the time!
So here’s to a new year. I really hope things start to get “back to normal” and I can maybe fill a few “pages” in Bavarian Sojourn again very soon… Thanks for following!
