That’s so sweet. You will have to tell her that Snail is usually one of the first words I learn in another language as well. Don’t ask me why! It could have something to do with cakes though, as in Denmark the cinammon danish pastries were called Snegle (snails!) and here in Munich they have something similar which my children call schneke! :)

Why a Snail outside Transport Museum? Is it because it is the slowest form of transportation? Who did the sculpture? I need to know reason. Ian G
No idea Ian, quite possibly because it’s the slowest? :)
i love the resigned expression on his face :)
Definitely a resigned expression, you are right :)
What a great picture x
Thank you Susan :)
Must be global warming making these snails so big ;)
Definitely :)
It’s going to take a whole lot of salt to take that snail down!
A whole lot of salt, egg-shells or beer. We might need a beer swimming pool! That might be quite nice actually! :)
wow what a enormous snail! Great shot
Thanks Sarah :)
Yikes, although he almost looks like he is smiling!
I think he’s pretending to smile. There’s only so much climbing on and being mauled a poor snail can take :)
I shall endeavour to go there one day now – he is fab :)
Brilliant :)
Aww I love him! I want one in my garden ;)
Well he would be a talking point with the neighbours ;)
Wish that was a Cadbury’s chocolate egg on its back :)
Gosh, so do I! :)
My saighter got al excited about this one. ‘Hilazon’ was one of the first words she learnt in Hebrew when she started nursery.

Wow that’s a big snail!!! I wouldn’t like cleaning up after it! Bet the kids enjoyed climbing all over it though
Yuk, neither would I!! But yes, they loved climbing over it thanks! :)
What an awesome snail and pic of course ;)
Thanks The Mummy Diary :)
That’s brilliant! Wish we had one of those in our park :)
Thanks Actually Mummy :)
So funny! I think there os something quite loveable about snails in a way.
Me too, I prefer them to slugs any day! :)
AMAZING!
Thank you Wrigglesandme:)
What a fantastic snail – he’s gorgeous. Quite glad he’s not real and in my garden though!
Me too, although it would be a talking point for the neighbours! :)
Looks a cool place :)
Thanks Claire :)
Did your kids climb it? Mine would have been swinging off those horns..or are they called tentacles??
They would have done had their teachers not been there! Not sure what they are called to be honest – tentacles horns or feelers?? :)
Wow – huge :) I suspect our ones would have spent most of the day trying to climb onto his back!
As would the little ones I was in charge of that day, had we not had to go inside for the school trip :)
Thats a big snail!
Thank you! He is pretty big! :)
That is brilliant! Soooo slow though ;)
Very very very slow :)
That’s epic! I want to go!
Thank you! If you get the chance it’s worth a visit :)
Wow! That’s amazing!
Thanks Joanne :)
Wow! that looks huge! x
He is pretty enormous, but the children around him are very tiny so that makes him seem even bigger! :)
That is one big snail!
Biggest I have ever seen I think :)
I’m glad you got people in that photo as it really shows how BIG he is, amazing sculpture, happy sundays x
Thanks Mari, Happy Sunday to you as well! :) xxx
Brilliant! I love oversized ‘things’. x
Thanks Alexandra, so do I :)
ohh what a fab snail :) x
Thanks Sarah, as long as he’s in someone elses garden and not mine, I like him too :)
Big snail, little snow! This seems the correct way round lol
Definitely the right way around, although the forecast looks cold again next week brrrr…. :)
I love him! What an amazing face. But I am glad he is that big because it means it’s unlikely I’d accidentally tread on him. Phobia.
Thanks Frau Dietz. I know what you mean, I hate that squashing shell noise… :/
Brilliant Silent Sunday! Made me smile!
Thanks Kelly :)
Oh he is so cool… You really do manage to get some great shots when you are out and about…
Aww thank you Frankie :) xx
Oh lovely, Wheres that?
It’s outside the Transport Museum in Munich… :)
BIG snail!! Have to admit he’s very cute!
Thank you :) Glad they aren’t really this big though
Wow, that is very cool! My little girl would love it! x
Thank you :)
What a great sculpture – the kids must have loved that.
They did. They loved it more than the rest of the museum I think! Emma :) x
