Ireland is well-known as the home of Guinness. However, Ireland is obviously much more than that. It boasts magnificent sights and beautiful landscapes, perfect for any nature enthusiast. Several popular films and series have been shot here, and at the top of that list has to be Game of Thrones. These filming locations have become a tourist attraction in themselves. If you’re visiting this wonderful country soon, here’s a list of what you can do:
Group Tours Around Ireland
Visiting Ireland for the first time can seem a little daunting, especially if you are travelling alone. To be able to enjoy the culture and the landscape without any stress, a perfect solution is to sign up to a group tour. This means that a local expert or guide will take you to the most idyllic spots, so you can be sure that you will not miss any highlights.

Group tours, whether large or small, are the ultimate choice for those who prefer convenience. When researching where to go, you don’t always happen on where’s best to travel yourself, and the journey could be challenging alone. The itinerary of tours can be tailored to the needs and interests of the group. Hotel bookings, transportation, meals, and will all be taken care of.
Lastly, another advantage is that it will allow you to save time; time is so precious, don’t waste it by getting lost, when you can spend it seeing many other attractions.
Walking/Hiking Around Ireland

Ireland is known to be a walker’s paradise. Walking Festivals are held there and participated by locals and tourists alike. Walkers love Ireland because of its landscape. It may seem like a small country, but avid walkers and hikers should not miss out on the massive variety of trails available.
Witness the beauty of nature by foot with trails ranging from easy to moderate, while expert hikers and those who want to push themselves to their personal limits can test the more precarious trails. Take the best walks around Ireland at these popular walking routes: Causeway Coast Way, Hare’s Gap, Divis Ridge Trail, Cronin’s Yard Loop, The Famine Walk, and Glendalough Lake Walk.
Camping in Ireland
Ireland is known for its beauty and natural scenery. The breathtaking views are what draws many people to visit, and also make it a perfect camping destination.

One example is the Nore Valley Camping and Caravan Park. This is a good family getaway where kids can run freely, go-kart, feed the animals on the farm, and so much more. Wave Crest Caravan Park is the ultimate spot especially for those who love coastal camping. If you love watersports, Eagle Point Camping is perfect. Pure Camping, on the other hand, is a campsite with amenities that are all eco-friendly. Morriscastle Strand Holiday Park is located right on the coast that also has a tennis court and playground.
Wild Swimming in the Waters of Ireland

Ireland is home to a number of incredible outdoor swimming spots that should be explored by all water adventure lovers. Stronger swimmers are encouraged to swim all the way to the waters of the Great Samphire Island. Wild swimming is unique in the sense that most of the areas you can visit are in remote mountain lakes or coastline areas which are often otherwise inaccessible.
Coasteering

Another water adventure that you should not miss out on is Coasteering – a unique way to explore the coastlines of Ireland, particularly Northern Ireland. This can involve jumping off cliffs, diving, swimming, going against the current, exploring caves, and so much more. Experienced tour guides will be there with you every step of the way, so it will be a real highlight of a memorable adventure trip.

Emma,
Ireland is the nature-lover’s paradise; from walking, swimming and experiencing the home of Guiness. Who knows, one might encounter characters shooting a movie some place! Highly recommend to anyone. I would come back to Ireland again.
