Shhhh… I don’t want to scare it off, but I think Spring is thinking about joining us! The temperature even reached double figures today for the first time since the Autumn…
The snow has disappeared from much of the garden leaving only a thick strip on the shady side. It’s almost like Mother Nature is rolling over and pulling the blanket of snow with her as she begins to wake up here in Bavaria…
And underneath, it’s great to finally see lots of tiny shoots dotted about here and there – a sign that the Small People did indeed plant some bulbs in the garden and not just through the fence in the farmer’s field behind the house…
And although I am not speaking too loudly in case it tempts fate, the thing I will miss about not having snow at all will be the beautiful sunsets and sunrises… They always seem so much more colourful when there’s a blanket of white to reflect from…

Finally, today I can say it has completely gone (apart from the mounds where it’s been shovelled at the sides of the roads)… It’s supposed to come back in the next day or so though :/ Thank you xx

I was so excited as it was warm and spring-like last weekend. Rory’s birthday is 1 March and it always makes me feel winter is over. This weekend is miserable, pouring rain and cold. Snow forecast tonight in the east as we plan to go to King’s Lynn! Typical.

It’s been a long winter hasn’t it Trish? Hope the snow stayed away…

such a stunning sunset picture! Really like the way you’ve taken it through the tangled branches – just beautiful. I love sunset/sunrise photos and you’re so right about the snow making them special. Still, glad it seems to be going now – great to see hopeful signs of spring and little splashes of colour in your garden x

Thank you… I will miss that lovely reflective surface, but only for photography reasons! :) x

I’m also getting the feeling the spring is approaching and it’s brilliant! Little bit more light, a few more blooms. It’s feels like my eyes are beginning to open for the first time this year. And I can go for long walks with the boys without fearing frostbite.

It’s lovely isn’t it? Now if the daffs and snowdrops etc. could just hurry up!

That peachy sky is beautiful. We are definitely into spring here. The almond trees are in blossom and the temperature is in the mid to upper teens during the day and around 10 at night.

Sounds beautiful! :)
