Cutting through the grey in what seems like the first time in weeks (actually, forget “what seems like”, it’s actually “what is like”) – some real winter sun. Only for a few hours, but still…
It definitely made a little detour worthwhile on the way to school this morning. Slightly blurry pictures, but who cares? You get the picture!…

Lovely pictures Emma – it’s a hard time of year when you don’t see the sun for what feels like weeks ata time. Glad you could make the most of it!
It’s gone again now Sally, spoke too soon! :D x
Very stunning photos, what a view to have on your school run! xx
Thank you J! :) xx
We landed in Munich last year because Salzburg had been closed due to fog – it was so weird: as we came down, we had a beautiful view of the Alps, as well as the tips of the Marienkirche and some other high buildings. Then we dived into the foggy soup and instantly touched ground. Uncanny.
Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!
That must have been beautiful, until you hit the cloud! :D Thank you… We will, I don’t expect it will last for long! :)
It’s such a treat when the sun shines in winter. I’m finding mornings fine, with the bustle of getting to school, but by the time 3pm arrives and the sun has dropped I’m shivering on the playground. Roll on my birthday, then we can start looking forward to longer days :)
I am looking forward to your birthday too then! :D I found out I am vitamin D deficient this week. 5 years of living in Scandinavia and Munich will do that to you… :D
I hear you! Struggling for sunbeams in Scandinavia too
And it gets darker even earlier where you are… x
