whoosh! I felt that in my tummy :) The depth, the shot of green against the stone and snow – beautifully angled.
Thanks Pia… I think I left my stomach behind for a short while there too! :D x
Good foto
Thanks Bass! :)
Woah -epic photo! Ahhh I want to travel now!
Thank you Annie. Come and say hello to Munich! :D
Yikes! So lucky you don’t have problems with heights. Always am in awe of not only your ability to capture the shot, but also the ability to realize it will be a good one and know when/where/how to frame it. Will do my best to channel your talents in the coming days. We’re off to Angkor Wat and I will undoubtedly bungle all the photos…send me some good photography vibes, please! xx
I do, I made the stupid mistake of taking a look back when we stepped off the deutches Zugspitze bahn. Still having nightmares and that was a year ago! Have an amazing time at Angkor Wat, can’t wait to see your pics!! :) xx
Wow, what great depth of field… thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #100!
Thank you Madge! :)
Wow – what a stunning photograph!
Thanks Michelle! :)
Incredible, what a view! xx
Thanks Emily! :)
I love the contrast of the green valley and the inhospitable mountain, which is one of things I love most about mountains. The little spec of a person on the slope?
and the spec of weather on the lens.
Full on day?
A full on day! It’s funny you should notice the spec, I think it might be a Bavarian yeti!! :) Thank you!
This is so beautiful! The world is such a stunning place isn’t it? x
It is isn’t it. Thank you Ojo! :)
Oh wow, stunning!
xx Jazzy
Thank you Jazzy! :) xx
Wow Emma, that’s amazing! Makes my knees go wobbly. The contrast is fantastic – really conveys how high up you are, and how steep it is!!
Thank you. Yes, twas a bit high up! :D x
thats beautiful and scary at the same time
Completely! :D
Brilliant. How high is that?
2,962 Metres, plenty of the white stuff at the top! :D
That’s beautiful!
Thanks Laura! :)
That is an absolutely incredible photo! Breathtaking!
Thank you! (:
What breathtaking views!
Thanks Fiona! :)
Goodness what a view! Makes my legs go a bit wobbly lol!
Mine too! Thank you :) x
Great photo, I love the fact that you can see the raindrops, really adds to the feeling of it.
Thanks Sara! Glad it adds to it! :D
Simply stunning. Don’t like to think of the angle you must have been in when you took it (but the I don’t have a head for heights!).
Thanks Sarah, We took my Dad up as he is visiting without my Step Mum, there’s no way she could have done that trip! :)
What a view!!
Thanks Kim! :)
Fabulous! Love the contrast between the snow at the top and the green below. Was going to ask where it was taken but then read your answer to the first comment. xx
Thank you… Let’s hope winter stays away for a bit longer yet! :)
That looks like such a beautiful setting.
Thank you for linking up
Thank you. :)
Nature is so awesome, the difference in weather top to bottom, a fabulous capture, thank you
Thanks Jo! :)
Wow! That’s epic!
Thanks Colette! :)
What a great perspective. Love the blast of green in the top corner.
Thanks Trish. So odd going to the top where it was 1 degree, sleeting, cold and grey, and then back down to the green and warmer climate at the bottom! :D
Wow! Life affirming shot. Winter’s a comin’…
It’s not far off… A scary thought! :D
This is stunning, really beautiful, love how lush and green the grass looks
Thanks Amanda! :)
Wow what a view! A bit scary as someone who’s afraid of heights ;)
I have a bit of a height thing too, so can completely understand! Thank you… :)
Wow, what a stunning picture. Love the angle.
Thank you… The cablecar did that for me! :D
That is spectacular
Thanks Alison!

Definitely looks like some kind of rock avalanche there doesn’t it? Thanks Kriss!
Oh my that’s a great height! Makes me feel a bit nervous!
Thank you! Me too! :)
That’s so beautiful!
Thanks Kara! :)
That is a great photo! What lens are you using?
Thanks Brooke… Believe it or not this was taken with my little camera. Didn’t fancy taking the big one out in that weather yesterday! :D
That is just stunning!
Thanks Foz! :)
Wow – that’s absolutely stunning.
Thanks Cathy! :)
The angles are great. I wasn’t sure, at first, if it was frozen or very fast moving water.
Thank you Joy. We were moving quite quickly, and I think the rain on the glass helps the movement impression too! :)
Oh wow, that really is spectacular. Made me feel a little bit queasy on first sight. Talk about vertiginous. (And it’s not like I’m unused to heights or mountains!)
Thanks Mary! Weather wasn’t great so it’s not as clear as it could be but I didn’t envy the climbers we passed… Too cold! :D
Beautiful photo!
Thanks Leslie. Taken on our way up to the top of the Zugspitze yesterday from the Austrian side… :)
