that is a lovely shot and the kite looks like a lovely cultural painted one

Thanks Helen… Sadly not, it was the cheapest of cheap from the DE equivalent of the pound shop. Hence it didn’t last all that long in the end! But we do have stronger/sturdier kites now I know how much they love it. Now to wait for a windy day! :D x

Oh well done to him, kite flying isn’t easy when you first start!

I think we could have flown a dustbin on this particular day, he now thinks he’s a kite flying expert! :D Thank you! :)

I love how you shot the photo. It shows lots of angles but still manages to make everything look even and flat which makes his and the kite`s presence pop.

Thanks so much Mari! :)

Great shot and fab colours. I really had to look for the kite, strange as that sounds! I thought the sky had finished, but no, it continued colourless, and then I saw the lovely bright yellow kite :-) xx

Kite flying – such a simple pleasure but always a magical childhood memory. x

Yes. I remember “kite flying” with plastic bags once upon a time… :D xxxx

Let’s go fly a kite… looks like a lot of fun. Love the shot. I happen to know that someone has got my little a girl a kite for her birthday. She is going to be four, so I suspect the technical side will be passed to me and Mr. B. I do hope we are up to it.

I am sure you will be… give it a breezy enough day and you can almost look professional I find! :D :D x

Thanks Fiona! It was incredibly windy that day, quite often is here close to the mountains! :)

Loving the colourful kite in the washed out sky flying all alone – it’s the first thing you see as the screen opens up and you wonder what on earth it is until the whole picture is revealed -great shot!

Thanks so much Phoebe! :)

Cool picture – love kites. I said to youngest yesterday that we should have flown hers when we went to the park but we forgot – oops. That looks like a great colourful kite too.
March 30, 2014 at 6:14 pm
It was a great colourful kite, thank you! I saw was, as it was so windy it actually got destroyed in the end, but we have a sturdier, equally colourful model waiting for a windy day! :) Thank you!

Such happy memories of kite flying as a child and yet I never took Cog. It’s never too late is it. Lovely photo and a great catalyst for memories and action.
It is most certainly never too late! You have less to worry about with her being blown over the side of the hill as well now she is older than my two! :)

Beautiful picture. That looks like a lot of fun!
March 30, 2014 at 9:20 am
Thank you! It whiled away a couple of hours! We did destroy both kites in the end though unfortunately! More sturdy ones are required for next time!

Is there anything more fun than running down a hill? Ah yes, running down a hill with a kite! Great colours!
March 30, 2014 at 9:18 am
Thanks Laura…. It was so windy on this particular day that there was no running required! :D
