I love it! Someone had obviously walked past that tree on many occasions and thought, “oh that poor tree looks cold, I might knit it a coat”. Brilliant!
Thanks Natalie… Someone obviously felt this tree needed a bit of warming up so knitted him a coat. I think it looks liked the testcard the BBC used to show when it had finished for the day! :)

I;ve never seen an actual yarn bomb in real life so have to be content with lovely pics like this!
My favourite ever yarn bomb has to be one on a statue in Copenhagen. Someone had knitted around 50 tiny scarves for a sculpture in the city centre! :D
Nice shot, we see this a lot too, around trees, street lamps, poles, etc. I think it is such a lovely idea, brightens up the day. xx
Thank you! :) x
What an interesting picture. x
Thanks Susan :)
That is amazing! You always have the best photo’s. xx
Thanks Emma :) xx
a couture tree! i think every city should have these, just to make you smile. i love your ‘silent sundays’, emma :)
I think so too! Thank you Pia :)
I think this is lovely! In this day and time, people don’t have the free time to treehug, this is the gift that keeps on giving!
Thank you Circusmum (:
Now that is what I call extreme tree pampering! How cool is that x
Thanks Fiona (: x
Good to see that they love their trees so much they knitted it a scarf to keep warm…. there has to be some crazy story behind it….
Lots of other things get covered too with yarn bombing, lamposts, fences, shop fronts… This is the biggest bit of yarn bombing I have seen though :)
Love it, a nice warm tree ;)
He is very self-sufficient, he can hug himself! :)
Woot for yarn bombing!
Thank you! Great isn’t it? Just want to know whether it was a group of people or someone by themselves! :)
I’ve just relearnt to knit…..this has given me a few ideas.
Hope all is well.
Happy Easter.
x
If you knit something for your garden, you must put it on your blog! :) Hope you are well too? Emma xx
That tree looks snug.
Doesn’t it just? Thank you (:
It’s knitted?? I thought it was paint! How creative!
Thank you! It is :)
How lovely! Well spotted.
Thank you very much (:
hehehe It looks like a scarf wrapped around that tree. Was it chilly?
It was a piece of tree clothing knitted for it especially! It wasn’t cold at the time, but as it snowed yesterday I am sure it was grateful for it! :)
Love how you dress your trees
Thank you. Can’t say many of our trees would keep that warm though, I cannot knit to save my life!!
Great shot :)
Thanks Claire :)
Interesting.
Thank you :)
These Germans are nice but craaaazy!
Probably why I like it here :)
A tree hug! Very cool!
Thank you (:
Cosy tree.
He needs it today, I can tell you! (: xx
love it.. was it just this one tree that was treated to a jumper? x
It was the only one I saw. Sadly I can’t claim to have knitted it. I am not that talented when it comes to knitting! :) xx
That is fab – someone has been very busy! x
They have haven’t they? Thanks Louise :)
Is it really knitted? How to brighten up a tree in winter I guess – I love your photos – so different from the UK
Yes it is! Some project huh? Thank you (:
How cool is that!
Thank you! (:
Great photo as always :)
Thanks Joanne :)
The contrast of the colourful ‘tree scarf’ and the white of the building is lovely.
Thank you Natalie… We obviously have the same “eye”! :)
I love it! Someone had obviously walked past that tree on many occasions and thought, “oh that poor tree looks cold, I might knit it a coat”. Brilliant!
Thank you! Looking forward to seeing what it wears in the summer!
That is incredible! I am so glad they take trees’ health seriously :)
Thanks Mouse… I am pleased too, especially as we have quite a lot of surprise snow here this morning! :)
I love that! uber cool!
You have given me inspiration!
Thank you! Let me know what you knit! :)
Now that is yarn bombing at it’s best. A true labour of love!
Had forgotten what it was called, thank you :)
Wow, that must have taken some time to complete, another great photo xx
I know… “What are you knitting?” “Oh just some clothes for a tree”! Thanks Mari xx
Taking tree hugging to new extremes! Love it…
As a tree hugger I approve, it does make it a little more of a softer experience :) Thanks Mary! :)
How unusual! But, so pretty!
:)
Thank you! :)
Was it so cold that the trees needed to wear clothes?
It is this morning Erica, we have woken up to snow!! :)
Great photo.
Please tell me more…. : )
Thanks Natalie… Someone obviously felt this tree needed a bit of warming up so knitted him a coat. I think it looks liked the testcard the BBC used to show when it had finished for the day! :)
