My comment seems to have got lost. I said that I had been waiting for the bottom of the picture to upload before I realized that it was snow. Very clever shot.
Thank you! I had to put a border around it in the end, without one it looked really strange on the page! Don’t worry about an extra comment, they are always welcome! :D
That’s very striking with the snow on the wires!
Thanks Rachel! :)
is this yet another beautiful photograph from your early morning marches through the snow ? it’s so simple and so stunning. Love it.
Thank you lovely! this one wasn’t taken quite so early, it was about 11.o’clock. It was the only good thing to happen that day, it was the day I fell over near home and now have a black elbow and a bruised bum! :D
Wow those wires look amazing, great capture x
Thanks Dawn… Haven’t seen them like that before! :D xx

Wow, that’s a rather stunning shot. Love all the blue hues.
Thank you! I was grateful for a darker sky to highlight the white of the telephone wires! :)

Loving the crispness of the telegraph wires.
Thanks Erica! They came out clearer than the trees… Too much ice on this particular morning!
The Good Stuff says
That is a stunning shot – feel in need of a log fire just looking at it. Beautiful.
Thank you! You definitely need a log fire in Bavaria for the winter! :)

The contrasts are so impressive and the fragility of those wires in contrast to the stark snow are gorgeous. Another goody from you. You give me photo envy every week.

Beautiful. Is that snow on the wires?
Thank you! There was so much fog the night before, combined with freezing temperatures, it’s actually frozen cloud on the wires! :)
Wow brilliant shot xx
Thanks Wendy! :) xx

The frosty cables really stand out there, shows how cold it must have been!
Thank you… I think it was only about -4 in this picture. We were out in -11 last night. My face nearly froze off! :D

Thanks Shanaz, yes it was, and very cold too! :D
Beautiful. The colours so simple but it’s the contrast and the wires that make t
he photo. You have taken some amazing photos recently xxx
The wires were so bright against the sky, this was a hoar frost to beat all hoar frosts! Thanks so much Sheonad! xxx
Looked a bit like that here yesterday but it is now all melting.
I am sure it will be back before the winter’s out! Thanks Kizzy! :)
Brinabird and Son says
This is stunning. I love the contrasts!
Thank you! The trees were a bit too heavily covered in the stuff, but the telephone wires looked just right! :)
Why thank you! The fog was so thick the night before this picture was taken, it meant that the hoar frost the following day was huge! It’s the first time I have ever seen it on overhead wires in any event! (:
