I thought this angle would make him look really tiny against the trees, but I think it actually does the opposite. I do love a silver birch tree. Another photograph taken at Anglesey Abbey recently, which, as it’s now on our doorstep, we tend to visit ALOT! I would love to see them in the Spring time with their famous crocuses underneath…
yes it does have the opposite effect you are right, such a beautiful photo xx
Thank you Sarah! :) x
They are very elegant trees I think – and special, the way the light catches them. Lovely photo xx
Thanks so much T! :) xx
Pretty place to have a walk and you are lucky to live near it! #mysundayphoto
Thanks Merlinda! :)
He looks really tall :) xx
Weird isn’t it!? Thank you xx
A gorgeous photo, love those trees! #mysundayphoto
Thanks so much! :)
He does look very tall now against them even thought the silver birches look huge! Are you in the UK at the moment?
Thank you Tas. Yes, we moved back in January. Not sure how long for though! :D x
I see what you mean, he does look quite big! I feel like this should be in Russia, I always associate silver birches with Russia.
Me too, and Scandinavian countries. We had birch sap in NOMA way back, it was very weird then – saw it for sale in BOOTS the other day! :D
I love the colours in this, a great place to explore
Thank you for linking up
Thanks Darren! :)
I so rarely see silver birch, such a distinctive and beautiful tree.
Thanks Fiona, they are so striking aren’t they? :)
Silver Birch is one of my favourites too. Maybe it’s the backpack or the very straight trees that make him look so tall? #mysundayphoto
Thanks Andrea. Not quite the little toddler in the big forest portrait I was hoping for! :D
You are so right about it doing the opposite. I love the stark contrast of the white of the trunks in this image. Lovely x
Thanks so much! :) Hope all is well? X
