Love this photo! MrL and his brothers are all rock climbers; we had a climbing wall in our back yard in Arizona, and both of the boys grew up going to the rock gym on weekends (or out to the actual rocks) with Daddy. I even did it for a while when I was younger, although never more than the casual weekend easy climbs. It’s such a great sport for girls – hope she’ll keep it up!
Thank you Caroline. She has always loved climbing, and the fact that this is v. free range meant she was v. much in her element! I think she will keep it up! :D
I’m not sure if I’m more impressed with her climbing skills or the fact that she’s doing it in a skirt, you go girl!
Haha… I think that might be my fault actually. Her little bro. was there for a birthday party, and the thought never occured to me that she would probably want to have a go, and there was no way she was doing it in her woolly tights. Not cool apparently! :D

Love bouldering walls. We have one at our local pack holiday home and no, no helmits or harness necessary.
