A Summer’s day in Munich’s Englischer Gartens.
We popped back last week for a flying visit. It was so lovely to sit and appreciate the cool shade underneath the canopy of chestnut trees…

It looks like an excellent place to spend the weekend. So relaxing, silent, and full of nature’s beauty.
Thank you very much Riya!
Looks lovely, thanks for bringing the weather xxx
Thanks Jane! :) xxx
Glorious place to relax, it looks so fun of life
Thank you for linking up
Thanks Darren, it really is! :)
The horse chestnuts look very English! It must have been lovely to pop back.
It really does look English doesn’t it? I will always associate them with Munich now though, it’s amazing the difference in temperature underneath them too! :D
Why is it called the English Garden?
Apparently because it was created in the style of an English Country park! :)
Ah! Doesn’t this just scream summertime? I once lived in Northern China and strange enough, German beer gardens were a big thing in my town. This reminds me of it lol
That’s hilarious! I bet it was quite a surreal sight! :)
What a gorgeous spot on a Summer afternoon. :-)
It really is. I love these bier gartens, they are always good fun, and you can get some great food as well! :)
I love the green table and chairs and the vibrant summer feel to the city market
Thanks Fiona… It’s a strange sight once they are packed away for the winter, it just doesn’t look right! :D
