How can it possibly be that time again already?
My favourite “Christmas Market” of the lot is back, bigger and better and in full swing at Theresienwiese. Tollwood is not really a traditional Christmas Market (as I’ve said before), it’s definitely more of a Winter Festival – but there are still plenty of Christmas presents to be found here, plus global food, music, theatre and so much more besides…
I will leave you with a few more pictures of the Sunday morning we spent there, although sadly we didn’t enjoy the brilliant blue skies of our visit last Winter!
There’s a joke in the shape of the glitter ball at the top – I wonder how many of my Deutsche speaking friends will get it? I will admit to not noticing it at first, and then having to pretend that I had when Mr R pointed it out!
Back shortly to fill you in on the rest of a very special weekend in our host city (that sounds a bit Eurovision doesn’t it?).

In German, a mirror is a spiegel, and a fried egg is a spiegel ei… Someone very clever thought of the shape of this year’s mirror ball! :)

I am incredibly envious of your Christmas Market, ours just has a few stalls on our market place but yours looks so much more.

There are Christmas Markets all over Munich, but this festival is completely different and is definitely my favourite! :) Thank you!
